Congressman Rubén Hinojosa sent a letter of invitation to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki to join him and all Valley Veterans to a Congressional Listening Session on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the Regional Academic Health Center (RAHC) 2102 Treasure Hills Blvd., Harlingen, Texas.

"I am looking forward to listening to the concerns and needs of our Valley Veterans, directly from them," said Congressman Hinojosa. "My office has been working with Veterans on this event in hopes that we will have a very productive summit that will help us to continue with one of our main goals of bringing a full service medical hospital for our veterans in Deep South Texas."

Representatives from the Veterans Administration Health Care System including Valley Baptist Health System and South Texas Health System will also be in attendance.
